We're excited to introduce our new recognition article series, MANA (a Fijian description of power and achievement). Each article features an interview with an Ambassador who has achieved the rank of Sapphire or higher.
Her story is about dedication and sacrifice. Born and raised in Cawker City, Kansas, Jennifer Kresin was a born nurturer and throughout her life, she has always taken care of others. I started working in a Nursing Home when I was 14 years old because I always enjoyed taking care of people. I went to nursing school in 2001 and eventually became a Director of Nursing for a Nursing Home. My job was demanding, 24/7, and full of paperwork and regulations. The reason I went into nursing was to help people, but as the years went on I spent less and less time with my residents and more and more time at my desk trying to please the state surveyors and government demands. I sacrificed my time with family and friends for a paycheck.
I had been exposed to network marketing several times, and had been in a network marketing company 18 years ago, however, at the time I was not motivated to work the business. When Wakaya Perfection was presented to me, I happened to be in a bad place in my career. I was tired, worn out and not sure where I was going. Even though I was an R.N., I had always believed in the power of natural resources. I had seen too many people who were on too many medications, and I believed there was a better way. When I first saw the opportunity, I was drawn to the compensation plan. It was the first time a network marketing company spoke to me. Everything about the comp plan made sense. The fact that the products were phenomenal was an absolute bonus!
The people of Wakaya Perfection make me passionate. I’ll admit however that at first, it was the compensation that attracted me. My mind dramatically changed when I attended the Wakaya Perfection pre-launch in Salt Lake City, Utah in March. I was walking out of the conference room to get water when a gentleman stood up, gave me a hug and said, “I’m so glad you are here”. That gentleman was Todd Smith. At that moment, I knew I had “fallen” into something very special. I know at Wakaya Perfection I am not on Barb & Dave’s Team, I am not on Andre’s team nor Max’s team – I am on THE team.
Once I committed to Wakaya Perfection, I knew it was now or never! It was a trifecta of the perfect opportunity, perfect compensation plan and perfect products. I barreled ahead full steam! When I began, I was motivated to reach the next levels, however, I found I got more satisfaction out of seeing my team advance to the next ranks. But shortly after, when I heard someone say thank you or I watched their reaction as they hit that next level, it was the most rewarding feeling. I tell EVERYONE about Wakaya Perfection. I have been blessed to experience some amazing personal growth moments in that I no longer wonder what people think of me. I feel a new and refreshing sense of independence. This is my life and I am going to live it the way I want and I want to live it with the Wakaya Perfection family!
